Fall is here and a new season filled with fun and exciting programming is happening here in Ottawa’s Original Downtown! 🍂

Seong-Jin Cho in Recital 

Seong-Jin’s last decade of participation in piano competitions is littered with awards and trophies, including the prestigious 2015 International Chopin Piano Competition, all of which have catapulted him to the highest reaches of the most sought-after guest pianist roster. 

He returns to Southam Hall at the National Arts Centre for a recital that includes both classical favourites and avant-garde pearls from Haydn, Ravel, Mozart, and Liszt.

The Best of Broadway

Broadway musical lovers unite for a spectacular evening at the National Arts Centre for The Best of Broadway. Relive all your favourite Broadway musical soundtracks for three nights in one room! 

Featuring Conductor Jack Everly, Vocalist Katie Scarlett Swaney (appearing in Bonnie and Clyde, Jersey Boys and Mary Poppins) and Ben Crawfrod (appearing in The Phantom of the Opera, Shrek the Musical, and Les Miserables) as they take you on a wonderful Broadway journey.

Bear Grease

Get ready for a jaw-dropping, toe-tapping spectacle! Bear Grease takes the 1978 musical, Grease, on an Indigenous joyride, with fashion that slays, humour that tickles your funny bone, and music that makes you groove! It’s a rez makeover for the beloved characters, keeping the authenticity alive while adding a burst of cultural flair.

Buckle up for an electrifying experience that celebrates Indigenous cultures and dances its way into your heart—Bear Grease is a one-of-a-kind adventure you don’t want to miss.

Classic Albums Live: Led Zeppelin 

Classic Albums Live is back for an awesome show covering Rock’s best bands throughout the decades. Next month features a live cover show of world-renowned, Led Zeppelin covering all their famous hits, like Stairway to Heaven, Black Dog, Since I’ve Been Loving You and Rock and Roll! 

Grab your friends for fun night out on the town listening to some great rock hit and grab a few drinks at some of Ottawa’s Original Downtown bars and restaurants.

Dominique Fils-Aimé

Juno Award Winner, Dominique Fils-Aimé returns to the National Arts Centre stage to present her new album Our Roots Run Deep. The singer-songwriter from Montreal will excite her audience with her radiant voice and message of empathy through her songs.

Fils-Aimé won a Felix in 2019 for Jazz Album of the Year, a JUNO in 2020 for Vocal Jazz Album of the Year and was nominated for the prestigious Polaris Music Prize shortlist in both 2019 and 2021.

Spooky Symphony 

Get ready for musical chills and thrills and bring the whole family to a Spooky Symphony! 

Daniel Bartholomew-Poyser (Principal Youth Conductor and Creative Partner), the NAC Orchestra and special guests bring spooky orchestral favourites  to life in a fang-tastic performance that will cast a spell on your Halloween.

Be sure to dress up with the NAC Orchestra for this Halloween concert—but park your broom at the door!
