Hidden away on Dalhousie Street lies Opulence Coffee, where quality comes before shortcuts. They take pride in everything they do, from choosing the butter for the croissants to selecting a coffee at origin and developing a specific roast profile.

Opulence prides themself on the freshness of their coffee. They roast in small batches every few days, which means the coffee they serve and sell is exceptionally fresh.

They are also extremely selective when it comes to their green coffee. Working with high-quality, responsibly sourced beans and a strong belief in supporting the farmers and producers behind them. For Opulence, great coffee begins at the farm. Without the people growing and harvesting these incredible coffees, Opulence would not be able to serve the amazing coffee that they do.

Co-Owner Pierre said, “We don’t believe one roasting profile works for every coffee. Each origin has its own characteristics, so we have developed individual roasting recipes for each of our beans to bring out the best flavours, aromas, sweetness, and body each coffee offers. It’s a much more meticulous approach to roasting, but it’s a huge part of what makes our coffee taste the way it does.”

Their signature espresso blend is one of the best products that represent Opulence Coffee. The original roast was developed with the involvement of a chef who worked in a Michelin-starred restaurant, bringing a culinary approach to the flavour and balance of the espresso.

As previously mentioned Opulence is all about the details in their coffee, but they love to highlight their signature hot chocolate and mochaccino. It’s rich, smooth and creamy and made without the powdered hot chocolate mixes. Now that is dedication.
