Fall Colours in Ottawa’s Original Downtown

September 25, 2023

The weather is cooler, the air is crisp, and the leaves are changing, which means Fall is officially here! 🍂

Downtown’s parks and greenspaces are beautiful this time of year and we don’t want you to miss a thing. Look at this blog as your guide to fall colours in Ottawa’s Original Downtown.

Confederation Park

To enjoy fall foliage surrounding the downtown, take a stroll through Confederation Park! We recommend grabbing a hot chocolate at Equator Coffee for a truly cozy experience.

Major Hill’s Park

Not only is Major Hill’s Park perfect for picnics and relaxing in the summer, it boasts incredible views of Parliament Hill and the National Art Gallery. This park is the perfect place for fall photos!

Fairmont Chateau Laurier

Ottawa’s Castle is beautiful all year round but it pops even more during the autumn season! Sit down and take in the incredible view on their patio at La Terrasse!

National Arts Centre

It’s no secret that the National Arts Centre is one of the most beautiful buildings in Ottawa with its unique architecture! But did you know that it also serves as an incredible vantage point to take in fall views of the Rideau Canal?

Thinking of driving down? Check out this handy resource that lists all the available parking spots in the area – please have a designated driver!
