Join the Canadian Film Institute (CFI) and Telefilm Canada at the Ottawa Art Gallery’s Alma Duncan Salon (10 Daly Ave) on Thursday, March 9 for SAVE AS, a day-long symposium discussing the future of preserving, distributing and exhibiting Canadian cinematic heritage.
The CFI’s International Film Festival of Ottawa (IFFO), in collaboration with Telefilm Canada, will gather Canadian and international film archivists, distributors, exhibitors, and streaming services for the second annual SAVE AS symposium to discuss the current state of our endangered cinematic heritage. Celebrating recent restorations of classic films with case studies and special screenings, this one-day conference will also host panel discussions on ways to increase the accessibility of this heritage to audiences worldwide.
