Les Scénographies-Paysages is the enchanting brainchild of Danièle Desnoyers, one of Canada’s most respected and inventive choreographers. Inspired by the beauty of unique outdoor spaces, each work in this choreographic cycle is created in harmony with a specific environment and responds to its cultural and historic setting. Dancers invite the audience to share in a wandering tour as the performance moves through natural and architectural topographies, allowing spectators to be integrated into their surroundings. The reconstructed ruins, lush gardens, and forest trails of the historic Mackenzie King Estate in Gatineau set the scene for the cycle’s next choreographic proposition.
