We’re back with the latter half of our guide to all the patio restaurants in Ottawa’s Original Downtown! With the arrival of spring this month, restaurants and food lovers alike are gearing up for the official kick-off of patio season. Luckily, Ottawa’s Original Downtown is packed to the brim with a wide assortment of patio restaurants offering varied menus and stunning vistas. La Terrasse

For over a century, everything about the Fairmont Chateau Laurier has been synonymous with excellence, elegance and luxury – a mantra that extends to its restaurants as well. 1 Elgin

The National Arts Centre has long been one of Canada’s most esteemed cultural institutions – and it has a patio to match! 1 Elgin‘s wholly Canadian menu can be experienced directly along the Rideau Canal. Watch as boats make their way across Canada’s most storied waterway while sitting in the shadow of the architectural marvel that is the Shaw Centre. You may even catch some live entertainment on the canal from time to time!

3 Brothers Shawarma & Poutine

3 Brothers Shawarma‘s location at the intersection of Rideau and Cobourg features a small patio where you can soak up the sunshine while feasting on the best that Lebanese and Canadian cuisine has to offer. If not, now’s the perfect chance to grab a slice of everyone’s favourite party food at Cumberland Pizza and have a seat on their patio out front. Si Senor

The Aulde Dubliner

Think it’s impossible to take the experience of a genuine Irish pub outside? Think again! The Aulde Dubliner has two patios on two separate storeys; the top story features an exquisite mezzanine balcony overlooking the core of the Byward Market, while the bottom floor features umbrella-covered tables to keep you cool on a hot day. Tavern at the Gallery
