Police lay charges in downtown bank robbery
The Ottawa Police Robbery Unit has laid charges in a recent downtown bank robbery. On August 12, 2009, at approximately 5:20 pm. a lone male entered a TD Canada Trust branch in the 400 block of Rideau St. The male produced a note, making a demand for cash. The male fled with a small quantity of cash. On August 18, police arrested a suspect in connection with this incident. Adam Williams, 31-years-old of Ottawa, is charged with one count of robbery. He will appear in court today.
